Blog > BarCamp: Best Do-It-Yourself Conference
BarCamp (and therefore the whole TorCamp community) has very unexpectedly been given an award by NOW Magazine as the Best Do-It-Yourself Conference in their annual Best of Toronto issue! See the full list of Tech awards on the NOW website. Respect is also due to the talented (and lovely!) Amber MacArthur, who won Best Geek Personality, to the featurless slab of concrete at the corner of Yonge and Dundas which won best Wi-Fi hotspot (though really to our friends Patrick and Gabe at Wireless Toronto who hooked it up), Crazy Biker Chick for taking the Best Personal Blog, and Blog-To for the Best Blog (and for which my lovely and talented better half writes).
Does this mean we get a plaque to hang in the fictional BarCamp offices?
