Realizing Dreams Online

The Canadian Hospitality Foundation is Canada's largest industry driven source of scholarships for students pursuing careers in the foodservice-hospitality industry. CHF will award students over $150,000 in scholarships in 2006, helping many young Canadians to realize their dreams. We were honoured to become the CHF's technology partner and to help them design a two-year process to move their application process entirely on to the web.

Our engagement began in late 2004, in preparation for the 2005 application season. We designed and produced an entirely new online presence for the CHF, based on our Foundation™ Website Management Platform, which included the first transitional steps towards a paperless application process. Almost half of the 2005 applications were received via the new website, with the remainder submitted using the existing paper forms.

The 2006 Application season completes the transition, eliminating the paper forms entirely and including many improvements based on the 2005 season. Foundation™ provides an excellent platform for the CHF, who have taken over the management of much of the website and regularly update the content on the public-facing pages. 2007 will see many new improvements and features as we continue to help the CHF help students across the country.
